Sam Moon finds a perfect blend of fashionable and inexpensive

For the past 21 years, Sam Moon Trading Co. has used a simple formula to keep its customers coming back for more: fashionable merchandise and low costs. Sam Moon Group was established in 1984 as a wholesale/importer of general merchandise. The company adjusted its business model over the years to address the constantly changing fashion industry. In 1991, the company set out to become a leader in providing its consumers with the latest fashion trends while at the same time maintain its wholesale pricing. Sam Moon Group met its goal and is now one of the premier sources of high fashion for not a lot of dollars.

While Sam Moon Group offers a lot of jewelry and accessories; the company also offers travel gear and home furnishing items in its stores. Sam Moon Luggage & Gifts carries every brand name imaginable all for less than anywhere else. It also provides a large selection of travel accessories along with brand name perfumes, watches and sunglasses. The company’s Home Decor Store offers products for the home at reasonable prices. The stores also offer an array of distinctive merchandise like accent furniture, framed art, mirrors, lamps and candles. For anyone who would want to take advantage of the company’s wholesale prices but doesn’t live in the Dallas or Frisco area, most of Sam Moon’s items are available online at www.sammoon.com. The company currently operates locations in Dallas and Frisco, TX. The Dallas store is located at 11635 Harry Hines Boulevard and boasts wide aisles and ample parking. Both of these amenities have proven necessary for a store that’s developed into a standing room only hot spot. The Frisco store is located at the intersection of Highway 121 and Preston and is situated in front of the Stonebriar Center. The company plans to open two more locations in San Antonio and Houston during the spring. Sam Moon stores occupy spaces of 40,500 sq.ft. in freestanding buildings and strip and lifestyle centers. Growth opportunities are sought throughout TX during the coming 18 months. The company prefers to acquire sites, but will consider leasing.

Sam Moon Group has also diversified its company and currently owns, operates, and develops its own restaurants and real estate. Its other retail divisions trade as Dave’s Deli, which serves snack items like hot dogs, pizza and subs with a Moonlite Coffee cafe located inside of the deli. Its portfolio includes Sam Moon Center Dallas, the125,000 sq.ft. center was completed in December 2003. The remaining acreage will include a par three golf course with a driving range. The look of the center will combine the feel of an Italian village with the fixtures of a modern lifestyle center.
