Grubb & Ellis to Market Triangle Square
Triangle Square Investments, LLC, owners of Triangle Square in Costa Mesa, California, selected Grubb & Ellis Company to market the 191,000-sq.ft. retail/entertainment center. The three-story project is located at the intersection of Harbour and Newport Boulevards.

The center is anchored by Whole Foods Market, Nike Town, Edwards Cinema, Barnes & Noble, The Gap and Virgin Megastore. Space of 34,000 sq.ft. is available; it will be marketed by Ian Brown and Walter Pagel of Grubb & Ellis Newport Beach office and Marc Kim of the firms downtown Los Angeles office.

MCG Architecture Designs Resort Retail
Royal Caribbean Cruises, Ltd. and MCG Architecture have joined together with private Mexican development companies to design two new cruise ports along Southern Mexicos Yucatan Peninsula.
In Cozumel, a private Mexican company is developing a 5,000-square-meter complex designed to offer cruise passengers the portside options of indulging in water sports, sightseeing, shopping or just relaxing on a private beach. Royal Caribbean is the anchor tenant and is expected to bring some 500,000 visitors to the site annually. Currently under construction, the project is scheduled for completion this fall.

Remodelacion, designed by MCG Architecture, is under construction in Cozumel, Mexico and expected to open this fall.
Further south, near the Belize border, another private Mexican company is developing a cruise port entry on a deserted stretch of beach and jungle at Costa Maya. Activities such as sightseeing excursions to Mayan pyramids, bird watching hikes or enjoying a day at the beach will be offered. Royal Caribbean will be the anchor tenant and is forecasting more than 300,000 visitors annually within several years. The destination is currently under construction and is expected to open this month.

CBRE Will Lease Hayden Ferry Lakeside
The Phoenix, Arizona office of CB Richard Ellis was awarded the leasing assignment for three office buildings and 60,000 sq.ft. of retail space at Hayden Ferry Lakeside, a multi-use project owned by SunCor Development and BayState/Benton-Robb Development.
Fronting Tempe Town Lakes South Shore at the northwest corner of Rio Salado Parkway and Mill Avenue, the project will include 790,500 sq.ft. of Class A office space, as well as retail boutiques, restaurants, luxury condominiums and a hotel on 18.73 acres.

Bands Joins Marcus & Millichap
Marcus & Millichap announced the addition of Sharon Bands to the firms team in Manhattan. Bands was last employed by Grubb & Ellis, where she was senior managing director specializing in shopping center properties. During her career, Bands facilitated more than 100 property transactions, including more than five million sq.ft. of shopping centers. Prior to joining Grubb & Ellis in 1994, Bands was managing director of investment sales at the Edward S. Gordon Company for eight years.
