Alexander Co. plans to renovate the parking at 1104 McGee Street and the vacant professional building at 1104 Grand Boulevard in Kansas City, MO into a linked complex with 155 apartments and 190 parking spaces. Plans call for the upper floors of the 16-story professional building to be converted into lofts with retail on the first level. The lower four levels of the garage would be used for parking and the top two would be converted to lofts.

EnCap Golf, Inc. is developing a $1 billion golf resort in East Rutherford, NJ. Plans call for four golf courses, two hotels, 1,800 residential units, one million sq.ft. of office space and a retail and restaurant village. The company also plans to provide at least one or two commuter rail stations.

Taubman, Inc. is developing a Saks Fifth Avenue at The Shops at Willow Band, located at the intersection of Dallas North Tollway and West Park Boulevard in Plano, TX. Construction on the 122,900 sq.ft. store will begin in the Fall. The company also is developing Northlake, a regional mall in Charlotte, NC. The 1.2 million sq.ft. center is located at the intersection of Interstate 77 and the Interstate 485 connector. The center will be anchored Dillard’s, Hecht’s and Belk. The center is scheduled to open during August 2005.

Realco Group, Inc. is developing The Brotherhood Winery, located in Washingtonville, NY. The winery will include a three-acre parcel, a 10,000 sq.ft. building and individual retail spaces ranging in size from 600 sq.ft. to 1,200 sq.ft.

CENTDEV Properties, LLC in conjunction with AMREIT, Inc., is developing the design phase of a 56,000 sq.ft. mixed-use village development in Apex, NC. The two-story building includes 32,000 sq.ft. of retail space and 24,000 sq.ft. of office complex. The project, named Peakway Market Square, is located at the intersection of NC Highway 55 and The Apex Peakway. The center is expected to be open in November.

LaSalle Investment Management announced the opening of Diplomat Landing retail and restaurant complex in Hollywood, CA will take place in four months. The company has currently signed leases with Cafe Diva for 4,000 sq.ft.; 1,080 sq.ft. to Galley III and 2,404 sq.ft. to Aura Salon. The company also plans to have three or four restaurants in the center that will occupy approximately 8,000 sq.ft. to 9,000 sq.ft. and 15 to 20 retail businesses that will occupy 1,500 sq.ft. each.

The proposed Forsyth County Mall is on hold for six months to a year because of a lack of tenants. The 1,000,000 sq.ft. mall is slated to open during 2006. The mall is slated to be built along Georgia 400 between Union Hill and McFarland Roads in Atlanta, GA. Neiman Marcus signed on last year to open a 120,000 sq.ft. store.

Town Center, located in Charleston, WV, tapped Dillard’s to occupy the anchor space that was vacated by Montgomery Ward. Dillard’s, which will rent the 146,000 sq.ft. space for $1 per year, proposed to add $6.5 million of its funds as part of a $14 million overhaul of the space.

Design World Center has begun construction on Phase One of transforming the existing Fashion Mall at Plantation in Plantation, FL into a 150,000 sq.ft. home design-concept retail center. The company plans to lease space to Muvico 20, EL Kitchens, Vita Spa, Tile USA, Very Vertical, Roma Marble & Granite, Collage of Carpet, Culinary Concepts, Florida Plumbing, Florida Kitchen Appliances, Ceaser Roman Stone, Great House Design and Destination Kitchen and Bath. The center is expected to open during the Spring.

BBM, Inc. is developing Main Street Promenade in Naperville, IL. The $40 million project is located on Van Buren Avenue and will be cotenanted by Coldwater Creek, J. Jill, Ann Taylor and Sur La Table. The company expects the center to be completed in July and stores to be ready for opening during the Fall.

New England Builders is developing Town Center of Bartlett, located in Bartlett, IL. Opening is slated for next year. The mixed-use retail/residential center will feature 42,000 sq.ft. of retail space with second-story lofts, five three-story condominium buildings and underground parking.

Coldwell Banker Commercial is leasing South Pointe Plaza, located at the intersection of Eastern and Coronado in Henderson, NV. The company is currently pre-leasing 1,200 sq.ft. to 18,900 sq.ft. of retail space in mixed-use development. The development will include office, medical/professional, hotel, restaurants and retail.
