Advanced Internet Technologies, Inc. offers face-to-face interaction for its customers

Advanced Internet Technologies, Inc. (AIT) has decided it is time to close the proverbial gap between its tech support crew and customers.

In an effort to create more face-to-face interaction with its customers, web-hosting provider AIT has opened retail stores in Atlanta, GA; Key West, FL and most recently, Chicago, IL. The shops carry an extended product line, which includes IP telephone, IT security and broadband connectivity in addition to the company’s services of web hosting and e-commerce.

AIT was incorporated in 1996 and now serves as one of the largest and most rapidly growing web presence and e-commerce providers in the U.S. Originally founded in NC as a local entity, the company expanded its business via partnerships to become one of the top hosting companies in the industry. The company provides its customers with web services and tools such as servers, routers and bandwidth as well as technical advise at an affordable cost.

AIT began opening retail stores in order to give customers another option for service besides going online and talking to tech personnel on the telephone. The company created the storefront concept in 2003 when it saw its typical customer had evolved from tech-savvy individuals to more sales-oriented people. With the actual locations for customers to go to, they will be able to receive all of the same technical advice and support they would on the phone or the ‘Net. Now they’ll have the luxury of talking to someone directly and will have the opportunity to see their equipment being repaired on the site. AIT’s main focus is to establish a “show-me” environment that allows customers to see and touch the technology.

One of the many services AIT provides is security systems for companies. AIT can provide state-of-art of firewall services for only a few dollars a month. AIT can also assist with intrusion detection, system monitoring, surf reports to keep on eye on employee computer activity, background checks and security certifications. On marketing and sales side of the business, AIT can help with web hosting, domain registration, search engine, marketing, public relations as well as ad design and web site development. The company currently supports more than 190,000 domains in 107 countries.

AIT can also help its customers make money through their online business. The company offers  a number of Point-of-Sale systems for customers to choose from. These systems allow companies to accept payments via credit cards. The company’s e-commerce technology provide businesses with everything else they need to work its way into the online shopping world, including shopping carts, merchant accounts, secure payment gateways and payment acceptance systems. For communication purposes, AIT offers Voice Over Internet Protocol, the routing of voices over the Internet, which will help reduce telephone costs and integrate voice into a company’s data systems and cell phones. Meeting Bowls, which allow business to hold seminars online and share documents in real time, are also part of AIT’s communication arsenal.

AIT’s store front locations occupy spaces of 5,000 sq.ft. to 12,000 sq.ft. in historically underused urban/downtown areas. The company is looking to open one to two dealerships per month this year throughout Los Angeles, CA; southern FL, Atlanta and Savannah, GA; Raleigh and Charlotte, NC, Knoxville, TN and Washington, DC.
