Burlington Coat Factory puts its best foot forward:
MJM Designer Shoes

Expect an increase in foot traffic at Burlington’s new concept.

The national retailer that has become known for offering bargain prices on brand-name clothing has announced that it is expanding its MJM Designer Shoes concept with plans for a total of 14 stores by the end of the year.

The company is striving to open at least 100 shoe stores during the coming five years.

The shoe stores offer high-end products for drastically-reduced prices, such as suede BCBG boots pared down to $89 from $450, as well as fashionable shoes like Bruno Maglis cut from $500 to $125. Discounts generally range from 20% to 60% less than other retailers.

MJM Designer Shoes stores carry at least 30,000 pairs of shoes. Men’s and women’s selections range from dressy to casual and athletic, while children’s shoes are covered with styles for any occasion. The stores also offer an extensive accessory collection, including handbags, wallets, belts, socks, hosiery and gifts.

The company is striving to open at least 100 shoe stores during the coming five years.

The company prefers to locate in high-traffic, regional power centers that serve middle-to-upper income demographic areas.

Preferred spaces range from 20,000 sq.ft. to 25,000 sq.ft. The MJM floor plan is designed around clean, simple displays. All available sizes are shown, allowing customers to pick and choose.
