Westcor Partners is planning to develop two regional malls in the West Valley area of AZ. The company also expects to have car dealers, furniture stores and supermarkets at the Cactus Lane Ranch Towne Center in Surprise, AZ near the intersection of Loop 303 and Cactus Road and Goodyear Regional Center. The Cactus Lane Ranch project is the retail component of a 4,200-acre master-planned development on both sides of Loop 303, between Cactus and Waddell Roads. The proposal comes from Westcor, Fulton Homes and RED Development. The Goodyear site has been planned since 1999 on 300 acres at the intersection of McDowell and Bullard Roads. The area is currently served by three major shopping centers, including Arrowhead Towne Center, Desert Sky and Metrocenter. SIMA Corp. is preleasing Cascade Village, an open-air, three-sided village located at the intersection of Highway 97 and Highway 20 in Bend, OR with an average daily traffic count of 32,200 vehicles. The center will be built on the former site of the Mountain View Mall. The 380,000 sq.ft. center will open during Spring 2005. The company has already secured leases with Bed Bath & Beyond, Best Buy and PetsMart. Once completed, Cascade Village will have a GLA of 420,000 sq.ft. of space situated on a land area of 41 acres. Best Buy will lease approximately 30,000 sq.ft.; PetsMart will lease 22,000 sq.ft. and Bed Bath & Beyond will lease 23,000 sq.ft. All three stores are slated to open during March 2005. O’Neill Properties Group is proposing to develop 120 acres along the Delaware River in Hunterdon County, NJ. The site, which is located in both the Borough of Milford and Alexandria Township, is the location of the former Curtis Paper Mill, an abandoned factory. Under the plan, O’Neill will develop 740 one, two and three bedroom residences, along with retail space, parks, walking trails and recreation amenities as well as green and open spaces. In addition, the plan calls for the restoration of an existing building on the site to become the new Milford Borough Hall.
