Sega Gameworks LLC trades as Gameworks at 13 locations in AZ, CA, FL, IL, KY, MI, NV, OH, TX and WA. The restaurants, also providing games and music, occupy spaces of 20,000 sq.ft. to 40,000 sq.ft. in urban/downtown areas, freestanding locations and specialty, mixed-use and entertainment centers. Plans call for one opening during the coming 18 months, with representation by IJM Enterprises. Expansion will take place in metropolitan markets nationwide. Preferred cotenants include movie theaters, book stores, restaurants and record stores. The company cites Jillian’s, Dave & Busters and ESPN Zone as competition. Leases running 10 to 15 years are typical.
