The Linder Co. is leasing Harrison Centre, a mixed-use project with 20,000 sq.ft. of retail space located at the intersection of 56th Street and Post Road in Indianapolis, IN. The center is anchored by a 10-screen cinema and has a daily traffic count of 45,000 vehicles. Spaces of 1,300 sq.ft. to 4,000 sq.ft. are avaiable. Demographics include a population of 60,450 earning $73,049 as the average household income. The center is expected to open during May 2003.

Cousins Properties, Inc. is developing The Avenue West Cobb, a 200,000 sq.ft. specialty center in Atlanta, GA. The project is located next to the intersection of Dallas Highway and Due West Road. The total cost of the project, which is expected to open during Fall 2003, is $36 million. The center is the fourth Avenue project developed by the company in the past three years. The 225,000 sq.ft. Avenue East Cobb is located in Atlanta, GA; the 375,000 sq.ft. Avenue of Peninsula is located in Rolling Hill Estates, CA and the 169,000 sq.ft. Avenue Peachtree City is also located in Atlanta, GA.

Crosland Retail Group, Inc. is developing Birkdale Village, a 400,000 sq.ft. project located on Sam Furr Road in Birkdale, NC. The center consists of 252 apartments and 48 condominiums and a 16-screen 60,000 sq.ft. Eastern Federal Cinema. Other anchors include Dick’s Sporting Goods, Pier 1, Barnes & Noble, Gap, Banana Republic, Chico’s, Talbots, Willams Sonoma, Ann Taylor Loft and Victoria’s Secret. Demographics include a population of 133,000 earning $77,000 as the average household income.

Poag & McEwen Lifestyle Centers commenced construction on The Shops at Briargate in Colorado Springs, CO. The first phase of the project encompasses a GLA of 230,000 sq.ft. and the second phase is expected to encompass 75,000 sq.ft. Williams-Sonoma, Pottery Barn, Pottery Barn Kids, Ann Taylor, Talbots’s, Talbot’s Petites, Adrienne Vitadini, Carolelee, Coldwarter Creek, J. Jill, Sharper Image, Brighton Collectibles, White House/Black Market, California Pizza Kitchen, Panera Bread, Origins, Ted’s Montana Grill, Chocolate Factory, Victoria’s Secret, Express, Yankees Grill, Champps Americana, Ulta IV, Biaggi’s Italian Bistro, Qdoba Grill, Kirkland’s Home, Spirit Contemporary Furniture and P.F. Chang’s have signed leases at the center, which is expected to open during August 2003. The Shop at Briargate is the company’s sixth lifestyle center development. The project was 75% preleased at the time of ground breaking.

Goldschmidt & Associates is leasing The Village of Scarsdale at 4 Depot Place in Scarsdale, NY. The company plans to renovate and expand the 13,000 sq.ft. center. It is anticipated that 21,200 sq.ft. will be constructed with 11,100 sq.ft. of new ground level retail space and 10,100 sq.ft. of office space on the second level.

Forest City Ratner Cos. is constructing a 396,000 sq.ft., 10-story office tower above a five-story 375,000 sq.ft. retail complex at the Atlantic Terminal in Brooklyn, NY. The company plans to have the project finished by mid-2004. The Bank of New York will anchor the project and occupy 80% of the office tower.

Steiner and Associates received leasing commitments from Dick Sporting Goods, Barnes & Noble, Victoria’s Secret, Express/Express Men, Bath and Body Works, Yankee Candle, Abercrombie and Fitch, Hollister, Limited Too, J.Jill, The Buckle, Aeropostale, The Finish Line, Bravo, Red Star Tavern, Bar Louie, Baja Fresh, Cold Stone Creamery, Electronic Boutique and Mimi’s Café for the Zone Rosa project in Kansas City, MO. The center will comprise 1,000,000 sq.ft. of specialty retail, restaurants, office hotel, and residential uses on 93 acres. A Fall 2003 opening is scheduled.

Continental Real Estate Co. is planning to develop Shops at Tanasbourne, a 420,000 sq.ft. mall located on the west side of Northwest Stucki Avenue in Hillsboro, OR. The company expects to close on the acquisition on the 17-acre land parcel within the next few months and break ground on the project next May. The mall is expected to open during Spring 2004.

Truro Millbrook Power Centre is currently under construction. The 80-acre site is located at the Intersection of Highways 104 and 102 in Truro, Nova Scotia with a daily traffic count of 25,000 vehicles. A seven-plex Empire Cinema will anchor the project. The site is currently cotenanted by Tim Horton’s, A&W, Ultramar Gas and a 24-hour mini VLT/Slots Gaming entertainment center.
